The Mini Guardian uses an automated testing feature called AVA.

Important! If the AVA is not able to hear you or confirm a test or accidental button press, a live operator will respond and follow normal call procedure.
Press the button firmly and hold until the light turns solid blue and let go. The device will then start ringing and announce a call is in progress.
When connected to AVA, tell AVA that no help is needed. If the device connects to a live operator, tell the operator, “This is just a test.” The operator will confirm and then end the call. Wait 30-60 seconds in between each button press.
